about the music
"Hidden Wisdom" for Concert band
Stylistically, this work will be energetic, melodic, with lots of percussion, great for a concert opener. The piece will be approximately 5-6 minutes in length, and of medium difficulty (Grade 3-4), making the work very accessible to a variety of ensembles.

about the Commission
The commissioning cost per school is $375 (or $125 for student conductors), and will include a set of parts & score (on January 25, 2023) and exclusive recording & performance rights. Anthony Pickard is the lead commissioner for this collaboration, and will make the world premier, but all consortium performances will be considered premieres and should be indicated in programs and concert announcements. If you are interested in this commission, please fill out the registration form, to reserve your spot in the consortium. Payment: The buy-in fee for interested persons is $375 ($125 for students), split in two payments, ½ to be paid upfront, and the other ½ upon delivery of the final score. The student fee will apply to any consortium member making progress towards an academic degree, certificate, or diploma, as of the Due Date. This buy-in fee will be due to Composer via online purchase, PayPal (also payable by credit/debit card).
